The APOAMF joined the PasigLaban Grand Rally in Pasig City last March 20, 2022, as one of the organizations expressing their support for presidential candidate vice president Leni Robredo and vice presidential candidate senator Kiko Pangilinan.
“It’s important to show our support for VP Leni so that people can see that a lot of people are believing in her. We support her because of her advocacies for urban poor housing. This is one of the reasons why we think that VP Leni understands and can act on these if she becomes president,” said Rosemarie Aquino, head ng the transformative politics committee ng APOAMF.
Aquino also added they even did a house-to-house campaign activity for VP Robredo. The latter pledged to APOAMF that she will inject P80 million funds into renovating the sewage treatment plant, as well it will also go to the monthly amortization to be able to support families financially.
UPWARD UP is spearheaded by academics from the Ateneo de Manila University, De la Salle University, and Katholieke Universiteit Leuven for the Alliance of People’s Organizations along the Manggahan Floodways. (english version)
