APOAMF members received 50 units of a portable hand washing station named “SATO Tap” last April 18, 2022.

This is an initiative of Manila Water to Mamayan ang Layunin ay Pagkakakaisa (MALAYAPA) Peoples Organization, where the latter turned the SATO Taps over to APOAMF.

These benefit families living in areas where clean water supply is limited, especially amid the pandemic. SATO Tap will also help teach children the correct way to handwash to prevent the spread of the virus within the household.

The solution was developed by the Japanese company Lixil, which works with various organizations to help provide SATO Taps to areas where access to clean water is an issue.
