The Sumilao Farmers have arrived in LRB Manggahan Residences to campaign for vice president Leni Robredo’s run for presidential candidacy last May 3.
Residents of the community were amazed by their visit, as they were all moved by VP Leni’s love for the poor. Members of the APOAMF and community alike welcomed the farmers with open arms and hearts.
According to Rappler, the Sumilao Farmers have know VP Leni for 14 years. They first met her as a pro bono human rights lawyer before entering politics. Her late husband Jesse Robredo have also helped the Sumilao Farmers in their fight for their ancestral land way back 2007.
