Get to know the newly-elected officers of MALAYAPA

Lerma San Juan has been elected as the new president of Mamamayan Ang Layunin Ay Pagkakaisa  Neighborhood Association (MALAYAPA), a member organization of APOAMF, last February 13.

This was after the 15 newly-elected council members voted for the next members of MALAYAPA’s executive committee. Before this, it was the association’s parliamentary members who voted for the council members from the 23 who ran for the positions.

Among the new officers of the executive committe are Henry Agua as vice president, Rea Bangay as secretary, Leyne Tolmo as treasurer, and Emelinda Ramirez as auditor.

Reynan Hernandez is elected as chairman of the board, while the new board members are Julia Arguelles, Cecelien Balejado, Mary Angiely Batalla, Ma. Juliet Bautista, Regine Famorcan, John Lerson Mirando, Noel Padullon, Armando Pontilla, and Arceli Ycot.

MALAYAPA’s former president Rosemarie Aquino said that it’s essential for the members to know the importance of holding these elections within the association.
