The youth of the LRB community and Sangguniang Kabataan- Sta. Lucia (SK Sta. Lucia) have joined the Unity Walk last February 6 to show their support for Vice President Leni Robredo as she competes to become the next president of the Philippines in the upcoming election.
Supporters walked from Pasig Rainforest Park to Plaza Bonifacio while carrying posters and wearing pink t-shirts and face masks. Participants believe that Robredo will be the one to bring a better change to the nation, who also shows love for the poor.
They also added that they are not bothered by the criticisms against Robredo as she can turn things around for the country.
UPWARD UP is spearheaded by academics from the Ateneo de Manila University, De la Salle University, and Katholieke Universiteit Leuven for the Alliance of People’s Organizations along the Manggahan Floodways. (english version)
